Default Is the 2500 really that tall?

I am on the brink of getting my beloved CTD. My Jeep got totaled, I have the check on the way to me. Then it occurs to me, can the truck fit in the parking garage at work. There are a number of 1500QC Rams out there at every Baseball game(we share a gare with the STL Cardinals). The only thing that has me worried is the yellow bar on the garage says 6' 8". From the specs on the Dodge website, it looks like it sits at 1.1" below that. I am wondering whether there is wiggle room there ie. with a person and some gas with the CTD along for the ride it actually sits a bit shorter. I also would think the garage facters in some fudge. What do you guys think? I wouldn't mind a 1500, but really wanted the MPG and longevity of the CTD.

I'm not sure about that particular garage, but I've heard a number of truckers talk about highway clearance signs that are 6"+ lower than what the sign claims. I've had my '98 in a garage that claimed 7.0' seemed like it just squeaked in, but I think I had about 4" of clearance. My guess is you'd just barely be clearing it, pray there aren't any speed bumps.

It should fit, I have the leveling kit (2" front lift) and 35" tires and I fit in public garages and my home garage (but I have to prop the home garage door open all the way to fit).
