Default EGT

Hey Guys I'm new to the CTD and was wondering what is normal operating temp? My rig came with a boost and an EGT guage.
BTW its a 1999 Ram 2500 SLT 4x4 w/ an auto transmission.
also who makes nice pillar mounts for gauges.(mine are mounted below the dash and are hard to keep an eye on in traffic)

idle, 250-300F
cruise at 60mph, 5-700F depending on grade, I usualy average about 600F
if I'm digging hard at 1600rpm in 5th gear I'll top out around 1100F

as long as you dont go over 1500F your ok

now for all my filters and blingage, I suggest this place Geno's Garage. real good guys and very knowledgabe if you have questions about products.

1500 is ok for short bursts, but on a second gen truck you'll want to limit any sustained yemps to 1250 of less.
