Default fuel shut off solenoid

I have a 1995 Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel. Warm or cold sometimes it won't start. If that is the case I reach under the solenoid and push the rod upward and it starts immediately. I have taken the solenoid apart and cleaned it without using anything abraisive, and then re-installed
the solenoid, and I still have the same problem. Do I need a new fuel shut-off solenoid, or is there some way I can repair this one?
New ones from Dodge are really spendy and aftermarket seem hard to find. The aftermarket that I have found don't have the three wire set-up. I am assuming these would not allow the fuel heater to work?
thanks

Default RE: fuel shut off solenoid

you need a new solenoid.

you might be able to get one straight from Cummins.
