Default Diesel Torque Specs.

Does anyone know the torque specs for reassembling the manifold and turbo on a 2003 Cummins HO. I am installing a Banks six gun tuner and am going to remove the manifold to drill out and tap for the sensor (also installing an exhaust temp gauge, trans temp gauge and boost gauge). Would appreciate info on any related torque specs you can think of. THANKS

I am sorry I don't remember the website but if you get the bolt diameter and thread pitch and standard or metric you can usually look it up on the net. I would also try calling cummins or a dodge garage and maybe they can tell you.

I drilled mine still attached, just use some heavy grease stopping alot to clean off the metal shaveings. and do the same when you tap the threads.

when I cranked mine up for the first time I did hear a little bit of metal hitting the turbine, but what did hit the turbine wasnt large enough to do damage, plus the turbine wasnt spinning fast enough to cause any damage.

been about 25K since Ive instaled mine and still going strong, I'll probably find the pieces of metal that came from it on my cat when it runs away on tuesday

I'm planning on adding a EGT gauge and Trans Temp Gauge to my 03' as well, any sugestions on where to tap into the trans coolant? I've done some searching on here but haven't been able to find much. Any help would be great. As far as the torque specs, you may be able to call your local parts store. Sometimes they have torque specs on intakes and exhaust mans.

Thanks

I went with the mag-hytec pan which has a sender port built into it. This works great and it's larger fluid capacity makes a noticeable difference. Also has a magnet in it and drain plug for easy fluid change. The guage does move during everyday ride...and stays low green range when pulling 12000lb fifth wheel. I am buying the mag-hytec differential cover later this month and will add a guage their as well (also has built in port).

My brother andI installed my Chip and EGT probe two days ago.We used the same method Drew talked about (heavy grease). It worked great;we also got a small mechanics magnet (from any automotive store) to remove any remaining metal pieces before final installation. Hope this helps
