Low Mileage maintenance
Ok, I've had my CTD for a year now and I've only put 11K on the ODO. That includes driving from ME to GA, GA to MD, MD to FL, and FL to AL a few times. It only gets driven once or twice a month now (mainly to Drill, or weekend fun) because work is a short drive and gas is cheaper in the car. At this rate, I'll die before the truck but diesels are made to drive. Are there any special maintenance tips for diesels that sit a lot? anything different I should do?
I thought I'd ask now before the little things start adding up.

atleast you are better with the truck than some I hear about that drive it 5 miles to and from work daily. theres not enough time for the engine to heat up properly and they are the ones that are complaining of injector failure.[:@]
edit: dangit, I never did answer your question. but since your only reserving it for longer trips theres no need to do anything special.

I have heard that diesel fuel supports growth of organisms, and in certain climates a fungicide is recommended. If you are in a warm/muggy area, you might research to determine if it is necessary to treat your fuel for this. I would probably check out a truck stop and see if they sell any.
Either way, my vote would be to keep the fuel topped off to reduce condensation.
