Default block heater cord(diesel)where is the conection?

Where is the outlet for the block heater cord to plug into?
I raised the hood, there is a small plug on the drivers side by the light and one under the grill by the passenger side tire.
These plug inlets look too small to be for 120v AC cord.
Is this it or is there another one somewhere else.?
Truck is a 2005 , 2500 4x4, 5.7 diesel.

unless it came from the dealership, you will have to get the pigtail from either the dealership or Cummins. It's way cheaper to go through Cummins.

anyway, the pigtail connects up to the block heater passenger side I believe, and the other end of the pig tail has the plug connection to hook to an extension cord.

every engine has the block heater, but not every one of them comes from the dealer with the pigtail installed.

The connection to plug the cord into will be in the passenger side of the block towards the front of the engine. It should be about the diameter of a quarter. It is not hard to see if you know what you are looking for. It should be pretty predominant and not hard to see. If noone has messed with it, it should have a black or dark grey screw off cap. Most all of the dodge diesels come from the factory with this already installed. The dealerships just charge $10 - $25 for the cord plus labor to install. Take a close look at the front passenger side of your rngine and you should be able to see it.

My plug for the extention cord was up by the front bumper on the passenger side. while poking around one day I found it after I lifted the hood... have a look.

I'll take a look this weekend to see if I have one. I might since it was a Maine truck before I brought it to Florida.
