Edge Juice in my Mega Cab
Sweet! My first post!!!
Ok, I got my 2500 Mega Cab three weeks ago...I love it.
My Edge Juice w/Attitude controller arrived yesterday, so I had to put on. Too easy! It took me about 1.5 hrs. I was a little apprehensive about drilling and tapping a hole into my exhaust manifold, but it all worked out.
Initial impressions:
-The Juice rocks! Definite power increases on all levels.
-Unfortunately, I was expecting it to correct my spedometer, and it doesn't. The Attitude will display correct speed, but it doesn't change the dash guages. I'm running 315/70/17's and it looks like my spedo is off by almost 10%. When the Attitude says 90mph, the dash says about 81 or 82.
-I guess I have no way of knowing what it's doing to my fuel economy. I'm assuming that if the spedo is wrong, then the odometer is wrong, and therefore the trip computer is also wrong. The guys at Edge said I need to get another programmer to change the settings in the PCM.
Also installed the Volant CAI with the ram air tube extension. Turns out the ram air tube mounts to the bumper where the stock fog lights are....I've got fogs, so I just kind of pushed it over the side a bit. It's just kind of hanging there, but I don't think it will move at all. It probably doens't do ****, but there's no point in taking it off to send it back.
Oh well...I like smoking little cars with my 7800lb truck!!

welcome to DF...
you can add the 10% to your trip odometer for figuring your milage. the best way to make sure how far off you are is to drive with another car that has a fairly acurate odometer and comapre your milages after the trip... I did this and it works pretty well. as for the overhead, mine has never been even remotely close to correct. it's pretty useless in my opinion...

My 06 trip computer is all over the place. It said I was getting from 15.5 to 18 and yet I was getting between 17 & 20.28 by hand calculator. I guess one could say it makes you feel better to find out your mpg was better then what it shows, but hey the temp gauage sure is acurate on mine
.
