I know this is not specificly a diesel problem, but the diesel guys always have more common sense. Has anyone replaced their dashtop with the one out of Geno's? How involved is it? Is the new dashtop of better quality than the original? My truck is an '01 CTD and the dash is really in bad shape. Thanks.

The one from Genos is NOT a replacement dashtop...just a cover. It's what most of the Diesel guys over at DTR swear by though.

So far there is no known replacement dashtop that's of better quality than the original...and no known fix to keep them from cracking. If you replace the stock one with another stock one, there's no gaurantees it won't crack again. Plus it's an 8-10 hour job to do that [:'(]
