Default Edge EGT Sensor

Am considering installing Edge Juice W/ Attitude and was wondering how to hide the EGT sensor probe after drilling when going for warranty service. 06 Ram2500 mostly stock

I doubt you could hide it...it's too long. I also doubt a dealer would complain about having a egt probe... show's the owner wants to know what's going on with the motor.

I will be in that boat shortly as my truck is going in for a repair of a faulty door lock shortly. I'm also going to have the re-calibrate the speedo.

Not to thread hi-jack here, but also on the EGT sensor must you remove the Exhaust manifold to install it? I would think you would have to as you would not want tiny filings going into the turbo!

when I drilled my EGT probe I left the manifold on. I used a heavy grease to capture as many fileings as I could, but after drilling it and taping there were still a few that made it into the manifold. but since everything was cold when I did it there was no harm done.

Ive been to the stealership once since Ive put mine in to replace the door drip edge seal. they didnt say anything other than the service writer liked the use of the SRT-10 grab handle with the EGT Boost gage. I just smiled

welcome to DF... nope you dont have to remove the manifold for the install. I put a vacuum next to the drill so any metal got sucked into the vacuum. once I punched thru and taped it, I put the vacuum back on it (probably didnt do anything), then fired it up and let it idle for 10~15 sec (recommended in the edge install book), installed the probe and was done.
