Was out to the stealership the other day and seen they have an 01 2500 CTD with only 43,000 miles on it. I love my gasser, but with the potential to be getting a job that Id have to travel a little more for, I think im going to go check this 2500 out. What are some things I should be leary of on a used 2500?

on that 01 make sure the lift pump is good and is putting out enough fuel pressure to feed the VP44 injector pump.

other than that 43K is nothing, that truck has been bairly used.

 

mechanical wise,

check the front wheel bearings (unitized), trac bar an ball joints. Also look and see if the steering box is leaking.
