the white bottle wont hurt a thing. the cetane rateing is 2 points lower than the grey bottle, but the white bottle has anti-gell properties for when the temp gets low the diesel in the tank wont freeze. if you ever see the red bottle, that is for when the fuel has already gelled.

I am about 40 miles north of new orleans...its in the upper 90's here, even in the winter I dont have much freezing worries. I picked up the grey bottle today and will use it tomorrow when I fill up.

So I started to use the mix two tanks ago and have had some interesting results. I have 11,000 miles on the truck. Just befor I started to use the mix I was getting 15.3 to 15.6mpg. I filled up with the mix and did my normal driving. My millage DROPED to 13.8 after the first tank and now half way through the second tank I am back up to 15.3mpg

I am hopeing for better results.

it may have to do with driving more in the city... I think it's pretty tough to come up with real constant #'s. The best way I think is long hiway driving to get some good mileage out of the tank. or consistency in the route & times you drive. I pretty much drive the same routs to & from work... hiway on the way in and back roads on the way out.

I know the most common mix is 16 oz. PSD and 8 oz. MMO but what happens if you use more than 8 oz. of MMO? I accidently mixed equal parts PSD/MMO 16 oz. each in same bottle. Will it hurt anything? I Haven't put it in the tank yet.

I put just over 12 oz MMO in my mix to a full 28 gals of fuel and it ran find so I think it will run OK, that is in less Drew stops by and tell you not to do it.

nope, it wont hurt anything... the mmo bottle tells you their recommended mix and the 8 oz is far less than that IIRC. I've put a 20~24 oz in a tank once to see if it would help an issue I had (turned out the edge was dying) and it had no ill affects on performance.

I'm almost done running the second tank of 20 and 12. I've been doing alot of in town driving and the engine was making sick sounds, so I decided to clean it out. Runs like a champ now, on the next tank I'll go back to 16 and 8, and I may even try it on every other tank.
