Default 92 RAM 250 ABS light

After a couple of minutes of running the 'Brake' and 'ABS' indicators come on. I don't think that I even knew that it had ABS until the light started coming on. The brakes are Ok. Well at least they work without any difference that I can tell. I have not done a panic stop to see if the ABS is working. A simular thing happened last year when I lost vacuum but then I also lost power braking so it was easy to tell and fix. This time the lights come on but the brakes still work. Any ideas where I should start looking? I assume that I've lost some kind of signal.

the ABS sensors on the rear drums has gone out, replace it and you should be fine

Thumbs up

Although this thread is a couple years old, I wanted to say thanks to both the asker and the advice!

I have the same truck....92 250 Diesel with the same problem and my taillights would not go out as well!

The advice here saved me about $75 as I was able to check the fuses myself and pre-purchase the sensor. (cut an hours worth of labor costs)

The tail light switch was out of adjustment and that accounted for the taillight problem, but it was indeed the sensor that had gone bad.

Coming to the mechanic with part in hand made the repair quick and less than $200. (The diagnosis was $80 to begin with!)

thanks!
