Default Idle Speed Fluctuating

When I first start my 2001 CTD, the idle speed will start out fine, then about 5 seconds later, it will drop about 200-300rpms, just for a split second. It will repeat this at random intervals, sometime it will drop 3 or 4 times with a few seconds then quit, then do it again. It has just started doing this, and it only does this when the egine is first started. There are no fault codes. Is this an indication of a sensor or something else starting to fail?

My 02 is doing the same thing I was wondering if it could be lack of fuel myself but mine only has 80k on it so if something craps out they should take care of it. I am starting to put money up for a fass but I wont get it till around 100k.....

I don't think it is a lack of fuel. I pulled a 10,000 lbs. trailer 600 miles with it just this past weekend and it ran fine.

Bob, I'll see mine do this on occasion when I pull up to a stop light, push the clutch while moveing(~5mph) and the RPM's will dance around like a dashboard hula girl from 550-850. but once I stop completely the RPM's lock in at 750.
