Default Drew's Brew & MPG calculations

I've always been skeptical about fuel additives that "claim" to boost fuel economy but everyone that has used the "Brew" has raved about it increasing mileage and lowering engine noise.

I decided to put the PS/MMO mix to the test.

All of my driving has been city/urban in the metro Washington DC area, with no highway driving. The first five MPG numbers are without any additives and the last four are with the addition of PS/MMO at 16oz/8oz added to 30-32 gallons of diesel during fill ups.

13.7
13.9
13.8
13.3 (towed ~3000lbs on a utility trailer for 1/2 the tank)
13.9

14.9
14.9
14.8
14.4 (towed the same ~3000lbs on a utility trailer for 1/2 the tank)

The Cummins did make less noise with Drew's Brew and I'm pleased with the addition of 1 MPG to keep using the mix. It costs roughly $3 per tank to add the mix so the cost is saved through the increase in economy.

All MPG numbers were hand calculated.

I have been thinking of running the "Brew" myself. My truck just broke the 500 mile point so I am not too sure if I want to try it yet , or wait till I get a few thousand on her first.

Dodge This,

I was put in Lucas with only 283 miles on it. I have used the brew on every tank there after and it has not hurt a thing. I'm now at 9500 miles and am very happy with the brew and the 20.5 mpg empty on the county roads @55-63 mph. So what are you waiting for go put some in right NOW!

Dodge This,
I'd go ahead and start using the mix.
It definitely will not hurt anything and you have everything to gain......more mileage, less engine noise, fuel system lubrication, etc.

WalMart has the best prices on the Power Service Diesel Kleen and Marvel Mystery Oil.
Get the silver jug of PS for normal temps and the white jug for cold temps (~32*F and below).
