Just picked up a 2 wheel drive 1992 dodge ram w/ a cummins. Automatic, 157,000 miles, some rust in the door but thats about it. Extended cab w/ jump seats for 2000$ COuldnt be happier. What should I watch out for? Fuel pump was just recalibrated back to stock settings by cummins and it has new rotors and pads and one new caliper.

It is the greatest isnt it? I love mine and I have only had it since Febuary, I put the Edge Juice with Attitude on it and it is a whole new truck

 

wow. . .an older one with a VE pump. . .there is alot of potential in that engine, only problem is the distributer style VE pump is rather trricky to turn up the fueling, but she shure does purr

 

Yah i thought about that already. How much of a hit would I take in fuel economy? And how much can I go without upgrading the rest of the fuel system/turbo? For now all thats planned is a 4 inch exhaust from the turbo back just ta help it spool a bit quicker. First things first though gotta solve the problem with it kickin outta overdrive Shouldnt be too hard, I assume it to be a loose wire, or a wire worn through somewere.
