im trying to find out whether or not you can put a p7100 pump on a first gen cummins? i'm having problems finding a 12 valve with the p7100 for a decent price for what i want to do with it but i dont have to much problems finding the rotary pump engines. please give feedback on this

 

you can. infact there is nothing different between the mounting of the pumps. the only thing that is different are the fuel lines.

you would also do good to pick up some injectors, 370marine would be nice turn up the P7100, tab the KDP while your in there and smoke out the ricers

 

thank you very much. been wanting to put a cummins in my mud truck for a long time now but im just not willing to pay over 4k for a engine that im going to thrash the living crap out of. i mean don't get me wrong i plan on putting a new turbo, injectors, torque plate, and a custom intercooler on it plus fix the old kdp problem. i plan on doing the easy upgrades first and then when i can do more upgrading such as o-ring have it bored .20 over stronger short block and valvetrain, and a good ole fashioned twin turbo set up. what can i say i love the smell of deisel smoke on a wonderful morning.
