Default High Idle Feature

Well I got my "clutch switch kit" from Cummins today and installed it tonight. Had the dealer enable the function some time ago. It works great. Now I have the same idle control as the automatic guys do.

If anyone is interested I can give P/N for the kit. It cost $100 from Cummins or $300 from Dodge.

Ive seen many different ways of doing this, on the older trucks I dont think there is a harness that can be bought, however grounding out pin #22 on PCM plug B does the same thing.

That is all this kit does. it just comes with a switch and mounting hardware and of coarse the pin. When clutch is engaged switch is made and you are grounded. Step on clutch pedal and switch is not made idle returns to normal. It's a safety thing, plus if they ever give me any warranty noise I can fall back on the fact that it is cummins/dodge approved parts and installation.

Showed the tech today at my local dealer ( the one that turned on the option for free) he was excited, wanted to do some of his buddies trucks.
