Default P 1756 CODE

Recently I had a code P 1756 on my 2005 dodge CTD, it says "governor pressure not equal to target at 15-20 PSI.

Someone told me that it has something to do with the tranny shifting at a certain speed / time ?

Can anyone inform me better ? It drives normal, no difference is fuel consumption or even anything with the tranny is noticable !!

Does this fall under a warranty ? I have 69000 miles on the truck in 15 months :-)

Any help or info is gladly welcome.

It throws the code maybe once in the 10,000 miles or so !

Thanks in advance

Mike

Default RE: P 1756 CODE

Could be the gov pressure sensor going bad... you can have a look under there to make sure there are no wires shorting out to the tranny case, (been there with an o2 sensor on a gasser). if it's shifting ok and not slipping, i'd look at the sensor... there is a link to the manual in the merry christmas thead tacked to the top of the forum. have a look...
