Default question about EGT

I was wondering if anybody knows the limits (safe) on the EGT. Also the max safe boost. (stock turbo). I've been told around 1300 F and about 32 or so Lb's of boost. Anyways, i just wanted to make sure i'm not over boosting when i get pedal happy.

heck, you can go as high as 1600F in short bursts, however, 1350F is a good safe point where things are getting too hot. as far as boost, the stock turbo can push 45 pounds, but you run the risk of blowing the turbo apart. 40 pounds is as much as I would want to go since at 45 the impeller is over spooling and not realy flowing cool air any more.

Thats awesome! I guess i've been babying it for the last few weeks. I'm still scared of pushing it into the red line. I only got 7000 miles on it and i feel like i need to break it in a little more before i really start getting on it even though the manual says i don't need to break it in. thanks for the input drew
