Default 1/4 Mile Time

Finally got it out to the track....bone stock with 3K miles.

launching in 4x4 cuz in 2W it just spun off the line I ran a whopping 16.35@81.27 with a 2.27 60' I was running a Dodge SRT4 and wasted him off the line! But then he ran me down

There was a sweet '05 out there with tons of mods running 13.0's, man with cooler air he'll be in the 12's.
He had a larger turbo, whole upgraded auto trans w/converter and valve body, Edge on kill (6) and lots of other mods he said over 20K $

If I had 20k in mods on a diesel and only ran 13.0's i'd hang myself.

That is what I thought too...maybe he was including all the labor?!

I have about 5K into my Denali and it runs mid to low 13's, but I did ALL the work myself except the tuning.

The guy that built my house has an 05 2500 with a diesel and 37 inch tires and we went to the track about 3 months ago when it was hot as hell. His truck was stone stock with a hypertech power programmer and he ran 14.30's. with a Banks kit he should be in the 12's.

Wow...I'd be pretty happy with low 14's that is enough to beat most RICE out there

I remember when I had my 66 Cornet when I ran a 14.30 I was happy as hell. That was considered pretty fast back in 82 though. The fastest I think I was ever able to get it to go ( afford ) was 13.40.

Pretty wild how things have changed ( sped up ).

i took my 06' 2500 6 speed manual 4 door long bed to the track 2 weeks ago no mods but a CAI 1st run ran a 16.9 in 4wheel and a trap speed of 79.2 lanched pretty hard in 2nd gear..2nd run ran 2 wheel did a huge smokey burn out just because my girl wanted me to.. hehehe and spun hard through 2nd and 3rd chirped 4th and ran a 18.0 but i ran a slightly faster 79.8 mpg in the trap.. so i think if i coulda hooked up in 2 wheel i woulda pulled a low 16 sec..

I know. I'm hoping that I can run atleast in the 13's when I revive the mustang this winter. I was shooting for a fast street car, but now a fast street car runs mid 11's around here. And yes when I say street car I'm talking about daily driven, friday night warrior, average joe cars.
