Dino oil question

Default Dino oil question

I am at 3K miles and want to do my 1st change.

I will use dino oil....what is a good brand of diesel dino oil to use, I will go with 15w-40, I ordered my Fleetguard Premium oil filters and drain plug.

Suggestions for the oil please?

Mobil Delvac 1300, Chevron Delo 400, Valvoline Premium Blue and Shell Rotella T. These are the top 4 dino oils that many use in there trucks, take your pick.

also stay away from synthetics until around 30k miles. it'll give the rings enough time to seat properly.

I believe cummins recommends using delo 400, at least they do on their big bores, not sure about the little guys though.
