You wanna talk about clogged up. Go to the diesel stop and search for EGR and turbo in the 6.0L section. I know first hand. 9000 miles on my truck today, had what I thought was an injector problem. A little fuel additive and some fun and she is purring like a kitten again.
Hands down a better truck than my '04 6.0L

just say no to the egr...
holly crap... I just went, created an account to gather some info for my co-worker friend who's still on the fence as to which truck to get and I couldnt believe how many posts there are for diagnostic help... almost every one of them... and so many different problems. Damn, I'm glad I own a dodge

I'm right there with NickBeek. I traded in my '03 6.0 F250 about a month ago. It was a good truck but I got tired of taking it to the dealer for engine repairs. I used to frequent TheDieselStop and I'd have to quit reading it for a while as it started to get kinda depressing. Here I am now with 2800 miles on my new CTD and love it so far! There's a few things I miss about my Ford but would never go back. I wouldn't even consider a Chevy only becaues of that rediculous IFS and have no idea how durable/reliable the Dmax is because I've never been interested in it. I'm pretty sure that years & years down the road my Dodge will be falling apart around me while the Cummins in it will still be happily chugging along with several hundred thousand miles under it's belt.
