anyone been able to shift this thing without the clutch? Maybe the synchros need to be warn in more, I've only got 1500 miles on it. Just a little irritating[:@]

it is hard on the syncros when you speed shift like that unless you have the engine rpm's matched up with the output speed.

not only that but New Venture no longer exists and parts for these trannies are becomeing harder and harder to come by. Ive seen people with their trucks in the shop for as long as a month waiting on a part that doesnt exist anymore.

Ive done it once, but it was rather hard to do since the internals are about the same size as what you see in OTR truck trannies.

I'm used to non-synchro trannys though. I found it easier and quicker than double clutching. These are what I get to play with at work all day.
