alot of info there, thanks. one thing I noticed though was that one of the sponser links was royal purple... they were not compared to in the chart at the bottom. I wonder why? did I just miss it in the chart?

Steve,

I didn't see any thing about Royal Purple in what I read. It makes one wonder why being I have heard people say how great it is and that NAPA sells it! I also saw oil names that I have never heard of before. Guess i will stick to Amsoil as I have used it and it does work good. One thing I noticed is that not all of the oil listed are true Synthetics, but I guess some would say I was splitting hairs.

That was a good read thanks. I have three gallons of Rotella for my first oil change this weekend.

synthetics are not recommended until after break in. Cummins engines are shipped with Valvoline premium blue diesel oil 15w-40
