Is the Aero the same length as the stock muffler? Im just wondering if Ill have to buy some extra pipe or not.
Stock muffler was both longer and fatter than the Aero. Here'a a shot of what my Aero looked like out of the box ....

No, I didn't buy the kit. I wasn't interrested in the chrome tip. I'm actually thinking about either wrapping the tailpipe with header tape, or possibly painting it flat black. I bought the Aero, some clamps, and a piece of pipe since I was eliminating the original resonator and the Aero is also shorter than the stock muffler. I actually wound up returning the clamps since I had the new exhaust welded in.

Anything you want to know or see pics of just ask. I covered the whole experience pretty well.

Mayfair,
any regular exhaust shop should be able to weld or use clamps to install the Aero, as they will have any extra pipe needed on hand, correct?
I just wanna get mine on and hear the beast!

THose are some nice clamps MAyfair. Do they slip over each end and tighten down? or is one side smaller?

Nel .... YES, any shop that you go to will have the pipe needed. As a matter of fact, the shop I took it to actually used more pipe since I decided to at the last minute eliminate the stock resonator

RAM IT ... YES, they ARE some cool clamps. They slip over the joint and make a tight seal on both pipes. I sent them back to Verocious thought since I decided to have my Aero welded on.

Do they just connect 4" to 4"?

I thought about clamping it until I get it welded.

and about the pipe. Some places dont carry over 3" pipe.
Around here I would say that 90% of the shops that do exhaust dont have anything higher than 3" in stock. So you might want to do some phone calling

No

You'll need to have one end flared to slip over the original pipe. The Aero is already flared on both ends so you're fine there, but the pipe will also have to be flared. Any muffler shop should be able to do it for you. That's how I wound up letting the shop install it for me. I took the pipe in to have it flared and when they offrend to hang the whole thing I just let em.

I have not heard from anyone at Verocious, regarding this group buy.
We also do not have any fixed #'s as to how many will commit to buying the Aero.
I will be on the road for the next ten days or so - will have e-mail "sporadically"
If any one else wants to run with this - please do.
I will be buying the Aero regrdless in the next week or two.
Looking forward to the main trip -Myrtle beach to louisville KY., I do it with one tank!

I got the one with the resignator it gives you the back pressure that you lost with the straight through muffler. Sound is great I lost a ton of low end power with the BD muffler got it back with the aero however I went with the resignator. The aero will slide on a standard 4 inch exhaust pipe I bought about 20 inches of pipe just because I was short from the original BD muffler get some pipe with one end beveled to fit over the 4inch pipe I got mine from a Mack dealership, cut it to fit and clamped it. You will be happy with it promise.
