NEWBIE QUESTION HERE:
How do I tell what gears I'm running???
Cant seem to find it anywhere in my paperwork. Is it marked somewhere on the truck?

 

Should be on the Moroni, or Mfr's Retail Price Sheet - window sticker some call it.

 

Yes, it should be on the sticker. If not ask the dealer for a "build sheet", which will tell you everything about every system on the truck. Parts guy can print it.

 

Or check in the glove box. I think mine is listed on a little spec sheet on the inside of the lid.

 

My earlier truck had that glovebox build summary, but my '06 does not. Amybe they're not doing that any more?
But Racer9 is right - the parts people can print a very thorough (more so than the "sticker", or than the glovebox tags used to be) listing of everything you have by VIN.

 

Just checked the glove box......nada!
Look's like I'll have to go to the dealer and get a spec sheet.

 

If you have an auto trans and run 72 mph at 2000 rpm you have the 3.73 gears.
