Driving down the freeway and heard a noise from under the hood (happened twice). Sounded like an air dryer purging -no big rigs around. Checked for blown air to air ect, nothing. Will see if I hear it tomarrow, if not I'll drop it of my worry list.

 

could have a leaky hose that's failing under boost.. or worse yet, the inner cooler. not sure if yours is plastic or not, but he early 2004/5's had a plastic one that was cracking and being replaced under warranty. with your truck being older IDK...

 

Didn't hear it today. Rechecked hoses and intercooler, neither are blown

 

Maybe you just had a stray cat under your hood and you didn't know it when you fired it up !!

 

Must have been steve's cat. He kicked it out and it just wandered under my truck

Can't say I've ever really seen a snake (they don't like western washington), but I have seen the same thing with a bird
