Default 94 ram 2500 not starting..

Hey everyone. I'm in the process of trying to buy this 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel off my friend. The only problem is that it's not getting any fuel to the engine. Is there a certain way to track it down?

It sucks because I'm in NY and my friend is over there near Prov. RI. The guys down at my fire house suggested that he check all the fuses for the relays first and then start working his way down the fuel system.

Does anyone have anything else to suggest because my friend is particuly (sp?) lazy and I want to get as much info as I need and I might have to travel 4 hours to fix it and drive it home.

Thanks everyone.

- Matt

Alright, well I got ahold of the guy who owned it before my friend and ALL that's wrong with it is that it's a rotted fuel line. So I have myself a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel.

Thanks! He also said that it's got a oversize turbo. I'm not familer with diesels, but I plan on doing alittle mods when I get it. I need to either make a flat bed or get a bed.

..I myself am new with the diesel scene..and have been monitering some of the things to watch for...have switched ALL fluids to amsoil... one of the things mentioned is to watch the fuel lines from the tank to the injector pump..if I'm right people say to plan on replacing those during the vehicles lifetime..some have said the same thing with the rear brake lines..new oem fuel lines from chrysler/dodge retail just under $300.00..ouch..I get a 20% discount on most parts..maybe someone can comment if napa has aftermarket ones less expensive..gotto love that diesel sound..better than a HARLEY...lol

Well, once me and my friend go to Prov. RI to tow it back, once i get it back, I'm having all the fuel lines/brake lines replaced.

Anyone with a diesel out that way?
