Local,
I'm VERY SLOWLY restoring a 1970-1/2 Camaro Z-28 4 speed that I bought in 1971. Subframe is off, it's been sandblasted and painted. Over the next year or two I plan to finish with the restoration. I have most of the replacement interior, and the parts to rebuild the trans and the 12 bolt posi. rear end. I am holding off on the LT-1 350 until I have most of the other work done.

Yes, its the same one. All thats left to do is wire the car (an after thought- should have done it before painting it), and fire the motor ...

Thanks Utah really appreciate that. I am seriously thinking about getting the 6speed, but with power windows, and door locks. Anyhow, what does your diesel mileage look like mpg, and how many miles to a tank.

Very sorry for the month long reply. I forgot to subscribe to threads that I post to. Duh!
I'm getting about 17.5 mpg at the best. That translates to about 550 miles a tank keeping a gallon or two for emergency. Never let a diesel run dry. The rear end you pick will make a big difference. I went 4X4 with the heavy duty towing package... not the best on MPG.
