On a 2003 4x4 2500 when I have it in 2wd the 4x4 light is on when I put it in 4x4 either high or low the 4x4 light goes off. Dealer could not find a solution and reflashing did not solve the problem. It is a auto trans with stick transfer case.
Have any of youall experienced a similar problem. Please help I am droving from houston to tampa next week (over the river and throught the woods....) and I don't want to smoke the trans or case.

 

Bad fuse? I've had dash lights in other vehicles do wierd things (i.e. on/ off opposite of when it should be) and it turned out to be a bad fuse. Other than that...[sm=confused06.gif]???

 

The Cummins specialist at the dealer went through the whole list of transmission transfer case and dash light problems and fixes and found nothing so he tried a reflash and the light came on within a few seconds. He is going to talk the the transmission guy tomorrow and see if he can help. I will give the dealer props on helping quickly without charge. Allen Samuels Katy Dodge
