i got a set of stacks sitting in my garage i havent been feeling good to put them on but when i get to it i was wondering....... what the heck should i use to cut the hole in my bed????????? i was looking on ebay i can get a 5 1/2 inch hole saw and i have to buy the bit part but im not sure which one to get. i dont want to spend alot cause im only gonna use it once but i want it to look decent to. any one have any ideas? thanks
ok cool thanks ill take a look at home depot to see if i can rent one i never thought about that theres a contractor place by me im gonna see if they have one that is that big and cuts metal that i can rent . thanks alot i appreciate the help guys
I don't think you'll be able to fit a 5" holesaw in a 3/8" drill. It'll probably have a 1/2" shank so yeah, rent a drill as well preferably one with another grab handle. When that sucker grabs .... LOOKOUT !!!
Yeah a 1/2" drill is best, but at some point you might want the sawzall anyway. I got to cutting the hole for mine, but I wasn't able to push down hard enough for it to go all the way through. So once some of the metal came up I bent it up and took the sawzall to it and finished it off. Good luck!
