Default anyone install stacks???

i got a set of stacks sitting in my garage i havent been feeling good to put them on but when i get to it i was wondering....... what the heck should i use to cut the hole in my bed????????? i was looking on ebay i can get a 5 1/2 inch hole saw and i have to buy the bit part but im not sure which one to get. i dont want to spend alot cause im only gonna use it once but i want it to look decent to. any one have any ideas? thanks

plasma cutter, grinder, cut off wheel, whole saw, Sawzall ect.

All you have to do is find something that has the same Diameter and trace it on the bed and cut it.

ok cool thanks ill take a look at home depot to see if i can rent one i never thought about that theres a contractor place by me im gonna see if they have one that is that big and cuts metal that i can rent . thanks alot i appreciate the help guys

You'll definately want a 1/2 drill for something that big. Not sure a 3/8 will have enough torque.

He's right

I don't think you'll be able to fit a 5" holesaw in a 3/8" drill. It'll probably have a 1/2" shank so yeah, rent a drill as well preferably one with another grab handle. When that sucker grabs .... LOOKOUT !!!

Yeah a 1/2" drill is best, but at some point you might want the sawzall anyway. I got to cutting the hole for mine, but I wasn't able to push down hard enough for it to go all the way through. So once some of the metal came up I bent it up and took the sawzall to it and finished it off. Good luck!
