Default Speaking of Warranties

Being I saw a thread about warranty and took a look at mine to see what it had to say. I see the Cat and PCM are covered by a federal 8 year 80,000 mile warranty in CA and a few other states. Also lots of good info for gas owners in there who live in CA and other smog states.

I also noticed that the Lucky owners of 2006 3500’s have a Noise Emission Warranty. If I understood it they have to take the truck in every 6 months or 6,000 miles to have it checked and that by Federal Law it is prohibited to tamper with or render in operative the following on 3500 trucks: removal of the air cleaner, inverting the air cleaner lid or removal of the air ducting. It also has a section about the removal or rendering inoperative the exhaust system components including the muffler or tail pipe. Removal of the fan shroud or making the fan clutch inoperative or the remove of the fan clutch.

All I can say is that I'm happy I own a 2500.
