Bio Diesel
This has problem come in the past but I would like to bring it up anyway. With a new 06' CTD can I run BioDiesel that is over a 5% blend safely? Is there a problem with Winter Blend?
I have a couple of stations that have Bio Diesel, but I would hate to use a fuel that wears the motor prematurely (like rubber bits, seals and such).

I don't think you will have any problems with things like rubber bits and seals useing Bio as what they use for seals are already set up for it to be used. I read some place that Cummins only said 5% becasue at one time they saw Bio made so many different ways and with to many vearations of what was in it. I also think they wanted to play it safe and cover there butts as they have no way to know how it's been made and by whom. Also to many people like to Sue big companys for stupid reasons.
JMHO
Mr SLUG - lots of controversy over this - Cummins covers their **** well by saying ANY additive (which they consider the Bio to be) can be a cause for voiding the warranty. But on the other hand they admit the motor is designed to run on Bio now supposedly more than the just the previous 5% mix. So it should work without problems - but be prepared for them to find this as a reason not to honor the warranty...
