winter blend ULSD?
A few guys on another board said that there is a winter blend ULSD. The winter blend only refers to the regular LSD.
Is this true.
I thought there still was a Winter blend for the ULSD. Thats why we all saw a drop in MPG

refineries are not makeing any more LSD, only ULSD. if you do happen to come across some LSD it is by chance and they are just useing up the rest of the dwindling suply.
now winter blend ULSD is still #2 mixed with #1 that is alo refined to the ULSD standards.
mixing LSD with ULSD is an EPA no-no especialy for those trucks with the particulate filter.

FYI, There are many places that sell Arctic diesel that is not mixed with #2 diesel. Arctic Diesel eliminates the need to blend #1 and #2 diesel fuels. Engineered to exacting specifications at our refinery in Minnesota, Arctic Diesel is recommended to 30° below. More info can be found here: http://www.premiumdiesel.com/product/arctic.aspx
