No, I didn't install the lift. I'm damn glad I did try either. I took it to a shop that does nothing but sell lift kits,
install them and make their own. It took them from 9am to almost 12am to get it done. There was a LOT of work involved.
The gauges I did install myself. Tapping the exhaust manifold was the hardest thing to do. It's not that it was physically hard,
it was just pretty scary drilling into a brand new ( WAS under warranty ) manifold. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do though

If you're planning on installing some.... don't let it intimidate you. It's much easier than it might seem.
If you get a boost gauge, don't forget a banjo bolt also. Some companies don't include them when they sell you the gauge.

I'm the newbie on the block and didn't intend to step on any toes ;-)
I think there's a lot of BAD A$$ trucks here which is cool. What I like about the forum is the ability for anyone
to learn as much as they can read and get some nice visuals at the same time.
I've done what I did to my new truck several times before. This was my first Dodge I bought in '95. 3 month later it looked like this.........
In 1995 there was barely any mods at all available for the Dodge trucks. It took a lot of work and searching to built it which made
building my new truck easy cause I knew what to look for and what I wanted. Not only that but, customizing is all the rage now-a-days
so parts are easy to find.
1995 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 SLT
Mopar performance:
headers
brushed aluminum nerf and lights bars
double roller timing chain
heavy duty lifter springs and push rods
valve covers
Borla cat-back exhaust
underdrive pulleys
MSD ignition, coil and wires
dual oil filter relocation kit
There was no CAI at the time so, the K&N filter was about the best you could do.
There was a bunch more done to it but, I won't bore with the details.

LOL! No, I haven't. Even the wifes car get some attention. A man has to have his toys !!! I went through what you are with my wife in '95. This time she knew before I signed the papers I was gonna have some fun ;-)
I know she enjoys the customizing as much as I do or she wouldn't let me do it. Today in my new truck we were driving behind a new F-350 that must have been lifted 15" which dwarfed my truck and she said... " get out of the way with that piece of ___ and let a real truck get by ! " LOL !!! That's not really her and it told me she really likes our truck.
OMG OMG OMG I can't wait until i get my truck now. I drive jeep now and drove a cummins and now ive got the fever. NOt even friggin kidding i see that truck and like my hands shake looking at the pictures. I have to wait until next friday to see whats gonna go down. Friday i learn if i got into the college i want to and if i got the scholarship i applied for. (very good chance i did) and if i do we will be driving to the dodge dealer and ordering up a 2500 or 3500 laramie diesel. It makes me shake thinking about it. THAT Truck is SEMA quality not a lie. enter that thing in a show and i gaurantee you would get an award. O and not to mention i wonder how many duramax and powestroke guys have crapped their pants when they saw that. Seeing that truck was like a kick in the morale nuts for him. turns to their wife and says " my chevy isn't that smmmmmallll is it honey" and the reply "size doesnt matter honey..........."
I hear ya Triton, I have tried fixing up the wifes 2000 Cherrokee, but she's happy with it stock, she says it only has to get me from point A to point B...true but its how you get there that counts I keep telling her.
Ben, good luck in college, my son just started...a month after starting his car blew up, just got him a 2001 Stratus...sweet car, he loves it and is doing good in school...18 years old and has leather seats, Iam 40 and have never had leather seats! Kids are so spoiled these days hehehe

^^^ I know kids definately are spoiled. I bought my wrangler when i was 16 but my dad has always driven pickup trucks and u know that one country song about pickups lemme think o yea "you can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill and i still wouldn't trade it for coupe deville"
I still won't know till the end of the week if i got the college and scholarship and that's the deal. Parents said look if u get the scholarship to college we won't have to pay 30 grand a year for that so we will buy you a nice car.
And i drove a cummins that a friend of my dad has and since then i've wanted one. The looks of the dodge, longevity of diesel, and the power. what's not to love. Perhaps after some time I'll build mine up with some sick nasty mods like all the guys on this forum. I'm thinking Stacks a lift nice intake nothing too crazy.
Sharx and trition u guys both have sick trucks and I was just thinking the diesel guys are starting to take over totm aint. Hemi guys might be a gettin skeerd of the smoke
