Big CAT
I was installed some nerf bars on my 2500 when I finally got to take a peek under the truck.
Gotta love all the made in mexico parts lol (like the rear leafs). Also, I love how they use TAPE to cover some of the holes in the body. TAPE! I guess rubber body plugs cost too much. I would love to see the bean counters cost reduction sheet or just the COGS (thats cost of goods sold for you non egg head types) on a 3rd gen RAM. Or then again, maybe I don't.
Anyhoo, I was looking at the exhaust system and found a large, bowling ball size canister between the muffler and the turbo. Good god is that our CAT? If it is that thing is HUGE.
The funny thing was I could not find any sensors around the area of the CAT, like in a gasser. My other gas vehicles had an O2 sensor right near the Cat. Either I am blind or I guess we don't need one.

Well what ever the heck it is, I want to cut it off and replace the bowling ball and the muffler with an Aero 4040 and a tip like Jake's. I wonder if we have to bring our 06's in for smog checks in CA? Anyone know?
