Default Anti-Spin Differential

Hello All,

On my trucks sticker sheet it calls out Anti-Spin Differential. Is this considered a locker and/or LSD? A friend of mine here at work asked me if the rearend is locked, and I said I think so..... Just wondering.

Thanks,

it is a limited slip, but it doesnt operate the same as the old LSD's that used clutches, this one uses worm gears instead to bias the torque between the tires. pretty slick setup if you ask me.

give the brake a little pressure next time. it requires a little bit of a load to work properly.

Is that what they call a torsion differential, or no?

Just take a peek at a Detroit TrueTrac, that's a helical gear design as well.

my rear appears to be an open diff... since it's in the garage right now, I'll jack up the rear and find out for sure...
