New pics
I saw it too and it he did change it to read 5500. He must be wanting people to do a double take when they see it. That or he wants the Ford and Chevy boys to faint when they see it.

Does your truck say it is a 5500? On the picture the sun is hitting it and I am not able to tell the diff.

There's a 5500 in Texas, and one in Las Vegas that I have tracked down so far, one is a member of the Dodge Diesel Forum.

So does it just have even more beefed up suspension for towing ect. The fords are the same way up to F550 i think. After that they change body style. I didnt even know that dodge made one. Was that the selling point of the truck, or did you not notice untill you bought it. I know a guy that drives a F850 as a daily driver. It has the cat enigne it in. It is a monster. It has the king ranch interior. A MILLION mile warrenty for the entire truck. 150,000 new, got it for 80,000. Says its the last truck he will ever own.
I asked the sales men about it right away but he couldnt answer me, but I got a good price on the truck and wanted anyway so bought it and came home and did the searchand wah lah...there it was, every Dodge owner Ive met notices differances in the suspension the minute they see it. It has a very beefy suspension and Frieghtliner built the frame and when I pull my dads 22'boat...it doesnt even move the a$$ end down, its like theres nothing back there

Sharx,
I would be interested in seeing close up pics of the frame and or the suspension of your ride to campare it to ours (2500).
