How much oil does my 2004 6spd tranny hold? Whatbrand will be the best . My truck has about 90,000 hard pullin miles and Ive never changed the tranny oil. Dont beat me to hard , I do service the rest of the truck regular.Kinda wondering how long the 6spd"s are holding up, Thanks

 

the NV5600 holds 9.5 pints. 2 pints = 1 quart --4.75 quarts

Are you just going to drop the pan and replace the filter and re-fill or are you going to flush the entire system or both?
On my 47RE I used 6 pints for the filter/refill, then 10 more pints during the flush.

 

on the NV5600 just pull the bottom bolt of the PTO cover out, let it drain. then to fill I used a hand pump and took out the top bolt of the PTO cover.

AMSoil 5w30MTF is some good stuff
