I was wondering if anybody knew if the 2005 fog lights are the same as 2006. I would like to put in a piaa light kit but its says nothing about 2005. Any help of info would help.

 

Yes they are. '03 to '06 are 9006 bulbs. I am trying to decide if I am going to try the 80w 9006 Off Road bulbs from JC Whitney or the Geno's Garage Fogzilla kit that will let you run the 9005 bulbs that are 700 lumens strongerthan the stock 9006 bulbs. I also think Im going to purchase the Fogster kit that will let me run my fogs with the highbeams on. Has anyone messed with upgrading there light system? I already adjusted my lights down a little for the 2" leveling kit and bigger tires.

 

Has anyonereplaced there stock fog bulbs withthe higher 80w Xenon or Halogen 9006 bulbs? I drive on back country roads a lot and would like to have some more light. I really dont want to have to replace fuses, bulbs or burnup the stock wiring in my new truck. I think the truck stock wiring should be able to handle them but I am not totally convinced yet. Also looking at adding some additional backup lights. Any info would be greatly apprciated.

 

Installed the Brite box Fogster today....Way cool to have the fogs on with the high beams. My favorite mod for the truck so far. Very easy to install.
