. . . . .They also told me about another trick that they learned, If you remove the anti-lock brake sensor on the front wheels you can pump wheel bearing grease into the opening and then use low pressure compressed air to force the grease into the front wheel bearings. I had noticed this when I repacked my front wheel bearing and had been thinking about this.
nifty little trick there

Well I dropped my truck off at the local dealer last night. To have all the ball joints replaced, with factory ball joints that the dealer is going to drill and tap for grease nipples. So they told me. I agreed to pay for the drilling and tapping, but I will beleive it when I see it. I also asked them to check the track bar which I understand as being prone to wearing out prematurely. They told me that the older models where prone to this but the newer models have been corrected and it is not a problem. I asked them to check it while they where in there doing the front ball joints. I will keep everyone posted on how it goes.

Well I got my truck back today with new OEM/factory ball joints that the dealer drilled and tapped in grease nipples. I had to pay $93.31 to have them drilled and tapped which I am happy with if the ball joints last longer. I was hoping that someone could tell me what type of grease is packed in the ball joints from the factory, it is white grease and the only type of grease that I know is white, is Lithium Grease. I have purchased Lubriplate Heavy-Duty, Lithium Polymer Grease. I am going to grease the ball joints when I do an oil change Maximum of two shots per ball joint.
