Default CRAZY LARRY QUESTION

I HAVE A 2006 DODGE 4X4 AUTO WITH 4.10 GEARS. I HAVE THE K &N INTAKE..5 INCH MOTOBLUE EXHAUST..AND MY FRIEND CHIPPED BY TRUCK WITH THE BULLY DOG. I HAVE IT ON EXTREME NOW AND IT RUNS HARD, BUT I WANT MORE POWER...(LIKE ALWAYS). IS THE CRAZY LARRY SAFE FOR DAILY DRIVING. IM SCARED THAT THE TRANNY WILL SUFFER. I DRIVE ONLY A LITTLE BIT EVERY DAY, TO AND FROM WORK AND THEN A LITTLE BIT ON MY DAY OFF. I JUST DONT WANT MY TRANNY TO GO TO CRAP. THE TRUCKS ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD. ALSO, DOES ANYONE HAVE THE OUTLOOK MONITOR??? AND DO U LIKE IT?

Welocome to DF!

You'll plenty of folks in here to help you mod that puppy, but.............

1st Question - Do you have gauges on your truck?

2nd Question - Have you upgraded your trans? At least the torque converter?

If you answer either of those questions as NO, then you need to take that thing off the Crazy Larry or your tranny or turbo is gonna be toast. Any more than 70 HP over stock and the tranny can't handle it.

even extreem is a bit much for the stock tranny to handle. crazy larry is going to realy get you in trouble. I can see a busted input shaft and balloned torque converter after you lay into it a few times. putting around town isnt good either.

just as rich said, you need gages, boost, EGT, trans temp at a minimum. if you want to keep it on extreem get a new valve body and the gages. crazy larry is going to need some other fixins to support it.

once youve got all that and you still arent satisfied with the power, check out TST. BDDL on performance and TST is a good stack

I ran mine on the Crazy Larry a couple times,, it's hard on the tranny,, and it produces alot of heat. But it sure is fun. I bought the monitor, installed it, and couldn't get it to work right. I wasn't very impressed with it, so I sent it back. I figure for close to $400, they could come up with something better than that.

Mine is on CrazyLarry fulltime. If you drive it normal its the same as stock. If you can control your foot it shouldnt make a difference. Its nice to have the power when i need it ....
