i just got those same two codes 2nite. the 500 is the vss i think its located on the rear axle somewhere. the 1693 is just a companion code meaning that the 0500 code was tripped in the ecm also.
thanks for the feedback guys! In my haynes manual it says the vss is on the back half of the tranny,I went to the dealer and they could not find it on the nv5600.
