Diesel Fuel line materials?
What materials can be used for Diesel fuel lines?I will be using B20 biodiesel fuel. This is for a diesel snowmobile, but I figured I would get a good answer here.
Can the rubber fuel lines (used for gasoline) from auto parts stores be used or will it degrade to fast? Or would steel lines or plastic lines be better? Does anyone know of aplace to buythe plastic lines?

The bio will eat certain types of rubber, and it gels at a higher temp then regular diesel. Food for thought.

That would mean that some kind of fuel heater or antigel additivewould be a good idea, doesn't it?
You are correct. For snowmobile duty, I would use a heater and / or anti gel even for regular dino diesel. If you google bio-diesel you should be able to find out the fuel lines material that is best suited too. Good luck, and some pics when you are done would be cool.
Its a college project, it should be done by late february or early march.
There is a thread on a snowmobile forum about it.
