Default This is weird

Made a 250 mile round trip monday to Smithfield,NC(yum-Good BBQ)towing a 14 ft enclosed trailer, had the weight all at the front of the trailer, which went down several inches. After unloading ,the front of the trailer went up a couple of inches,on the way down the overhead reading went from 19.7 solo to 17.5 while towing. On the way home the overhead went straight to 16.4 and when I got home it was reading 15.2.

Question, could the front of the trailer being just above the cab high topper have more to do with the milage than the weight? Only about 750#

yes and no. . .if the wind comeing off your truck cap hits the trailer top there is an increase in drag, however your truck is also haveing to drag around 750# more so there will also be a decrease in mileage. also with the weight distribution and many other factors.

Thanks Drew,The 06 has more rake on it than the old 94,by loading it front heavy the top of the trailer evens out the the cap, when unloaded it will rise above the topper.
Guess the next best thing to do is go with a hitch a few inches lower and use the leveling bars to level things out.

Thanks again and I'm a real big fan of the "Brew"
