Default 2004 CTD - Oil Pressure Gauge

New to the forum

I have a questions in regards to my stock oil pressure gauge on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD 4x4. I am not sure if this is normal or if I just never noticed till now. However, I am having issues with my oil pressure gauge fluctuating in between the normal range.

at idle or slower speeds it fluctuates betweenlow to middle range of normal.
at higher idle or higher speeds it fluctuates between middle & high of normal.
At highway speeds it sits at about 3/4 range (1/2 way between middle and high).

Is this normal? Has my oil pressure sensor been cooked? How much to replace sensor? This is my first diesel truck and have a big learning curve but want to learn more about the CTD.

Any help would be much appreciated
