Took my truck in 2006 2500 CTD mega auto for CEL P2609 and they told me they had to contact factory and get flash up date for ecm and I would have to come back in a week when the engineers made program change to get flashed?
any one else heard this?
and they wanted $35.00 to do high idle change what a rip off for 5 min work when they have programer hooked up already.
is there any other programing tools that could do it?

Most trucks limit top end use of cruise control, I know it was 85 in my Dakota, not that you need it much, but I have done a few trips where you were getting ran over below that.
And if you look in the manual some of our trucks you can start using the cruise control at 25 some are set for thirty and the cummins is 35MPH depending on the engine in the truck.
That doesn't seem like a big deal unless you work some of the subdivisions I work in, you can drive 20 minutes from the gate to where your going at 25 mph
