Hey cumminalong
Hey I saw in a previous post of yours that you got ur truck fixed and alls well. Just wondering what it took for them to fix er for ya. Perhaps you posted it and I didn't see it since there was a few weeks where I wasn't as active on here
Plus I order the 589 ms tires from ITP for my griz. Did some searching they looked a bit better than the mudlites so I'll have them on in a few weeks.

So far, so good. She's runnin' like a champ.
They ended up replacing the TIPCM, wiring harness, sensors (coolant, air, and batt temp sensors).
That, in addition to all the other previous stuff. But hey, I have a warranty out to 100K, maintenance out to 100K (I'll still do MOST of my own). And here's the kicker, if I get a CEL from now out to 24K, I have a new truck.
All I really give a damn about is my truck is running good and I'm starting to get comfortable enough to start looking at new 5th-wheels.
You'll like those 589's. I have been thoroughly impressed by them. They almost take the fun out of riding though. They make absolutely nothing a challenge. I can do things in 2 wheel that most bikes have trouble with in 4 wheel.
They have so much bite that I snapped a front axle shaft. I got high centered on a log, locked the front dif, started rocking it a little and when the front grabbed all I heard was SNAP!. Looked down and saw a clean shear. That's what you get for trying muscle instead of finesse. Not like I have a 3K lb winch on the front that I could have just pulled it off. Noooooo, gotta go friggin ballzy!
But yeah, you'll love those tires.

O well if they break some shafts just replace em with even stronger shafts.

The only thing the 589's are not good on is ice. They are real stiff and those big lugs just sit there and spin.
One thing you'll definitely notice is the steering. It'll be LIGHTER than with the OEM tires. I thought they'd be harder to steer, but they really mae the bike feel more like a 400 than a 660.
I have had a few issues with the oem tires. 1. they don't have strong sidewalls i've got about 3 plugs in the side of my one tire luckily they were just punctures so i didn't have to replace it. 2. they don't seem to have good grip i mean this bike can spin these tires the whole way up a trail if I lay into the gas. I work my griz pretty hard too but it works just fine for me. I don't see much ice but a decent amount of snow. funnest thing ever is me and the buds rigged up a bar that bolts onto the hitch and extend back past the rear wheels about 2 feet then we tie a rope and a sled to it. Go runnin across the snow covered fields at liek 40 on a sled is pretty bitchin. Wrecks are funny too (the sled not the quad havnt wrecked my griz and don't paln on it). You should try it some time. We don't have too many good hills for sledding so this is a good alternative. Or 4x4 frisby. We have a claybird launcher that can launch a frisbee pretty good then one of us races across the open and tries to snag it. Funnest stuff ever man.
Yeah, we used to do the sled thing when I was younger, back in NY. We also used to use our downhill ski's and a tow rope from the boat.
Even better was when they'd declare a snow emergency and anything goes then. We'd tie the tow rope behind my Samurai and go down the main road in town.
Ahhhhh, the younger, dumber days. [:-]
