boost psi?

Default boost psi?

got my boost guage installed last night and just had a few questions. my max boost is 18 psi. is this normal for my setup, and if it is what are some mods i can do to up my boost pressure. 18 seems kind of low but i just don't know. thanks for any help

Not sure about a 2002 model. My 06 with the 325/610 motor can get up past 30psi.

He has a mechanical wastegate actuator. Check out Banks, BD, etc. They have upgraded wastegate actuators that allow you to build the boost higher before releasing.

it sounds like your boost is being capped... I can hit 40~45 no problem with my mods. 40 is pushing it on a stock turbo... needless to say it doesnt see 40 much.

mine would build to about 25psi when loaded, about 21 when unloaded. with the wastegate mod it'll do about 37 psi.

From what I understand, 22-24 peak is normal for '02

From what I understand, 22-24 peak is normal for '02

yup. . .but a boost elbow will fix that problem

i am unable to put a boost elbow on my 02 with an auto tranny. i got hosed in that dept

There's a piece on ebay you can get for about $52 if you call the company direct. Ebay has it listed for like 60 plus S&H.
