bouncing Front End
Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a 2006 Dodge 3500 single rear wheel, got a great end of year deal....
I took it on trip to vegas and much to my surprise the front end when it a hit a pot hole or rough concrete highway would bounce and shake and would not stop until I pulled over!
I never seen this in any truck before. The dealer tells me they can not duplicate the problem and nothing is wrong!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Jerry

"Death Wobble"
An issue that ALL trucks with a solid front axle experience to some degree at one time or another. Really freaks ya out if and when you feel it the first (or second, third, etc) time.
It happens less often in the Dodge trucks than others I've been told but still is crazy. After I put larger tires on the truck it is when it happened the first time. Scared the poo out of me. A gas charged stabilyzer solved all issues (wobble, drifting, etc) on my truck immediately.

I would have to say that this might have been my best mod. Of course if I had stayed with the stock tires and front susp. I'm sure I would not have seen the wobble to the degree that I did and would still be tickled pink with the truck.
Having said that , after adding the stabilyzer it was like night and day!
BTW, Welcome to DF! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Jerry,
I know Skyjacker, ProComp and Kore make stabilizers (to replace the factory one) for our trucks. That is just a few. Also, think about upgrading your shocks to Bilstein 5100s (I think that is the correct model). I chucked the factory shocks for MX-6's and the pretty much took care of the problem (without doing a steering stabilizer).

I got both the front end leveling kit and stabilyzer from KORE. A little pricy but good stuff. As far as the Quadzilla XZT goes? I like it. I have ran it alone and on top of my Bully Dog and it works well. It did what it claimed (for me anyways) by giving both a little extra power and about 1.5 - 2 mpgs.
I can tell you though I constantly run both becouse if I want additional power I can dial up the BDTD and step it up. I really like the ability to adjust the HP. I gues what I'm saying is be careful becouse you might get a tatse of the extra HP and want MORE!
If I had it to do over I prob. would just get the adjustable Quadzilla. Now if price was no object Id throw my dough at the TST Power Max CR. That thing is a monster. You need alot of extra mods to use all that power though if you dont want toburn a turbo or tranny.
Cant say enough about the stabilyzer though. It was a night and day change.
